| WREN members accomplish WREN's mission via a simple and effective vehicle - "working groups" (WG). A working group can be any size, but 10-20 persons is typical. Members self -organize into working groups around issues or task they want to address. Secretariat staff support and help manage each working group by scheduling conference calls, hosting and documenting meetings, creating listservs, etc. Before becoming a formal working group, interest or affinity groups often meet for a period of time before deciding to become a working group. Thus far WREN has created three types of working groups: issue, operational and geographic. Thus far, WREN has the following three issue working groups: Shared Prosperity, Regional Collaboration and Regional Health Equity. Additionally, WREN has the following operational working groups: Membership Development, Communications/Media, Website Development and Education. In 2008, WREN aims to initiate geographic working groups organized around sub-regional jurisdictions. ============================================================================ Operational Working Groups Operational working groups help WREN function and grow.
